About The Club

Rhyl Dolphins Swimming Club is now 124 years old and still thriving with approximately 160 members.  We are always looking for new members of all ages. Many of our swimmers attend just to keep fit & improve their techniques, whilst others train and compete in competitions, regionally & nationally. The Club is run by a large number of volunteer admin Staff and ASA Qualified Teachers & Coaches who have maintained us as “One of North Wales’ Top Clubs”
The objectives of the Club are to teach, coach, promote, enjoy and encourage swimming and allied activities.

The main pool is a 25m x 12.5m 6 lane pool, with a minimum depth of 1.05 metres and a maximum depth of 3 meters. Club night is a Friday night with extra sessions available during the week.  The pool is kitted out with: training ropes, competition grade anti turbulence lane ropes, 6 competition starting blocks at the deep end of the pool and our all NEW Colorado Timing Systems Pace Clock Pro' which is fully programmable and an essential part of our equipment for creating great training programs.

The learner pool is 12.5m x 9m, at a depth of 0.7 metres throughout. This pool and its surrounding area is used for our land & water based Circuit Training Program. During Competitions this pool also doubles up as a swim down pool to relax swimmers muscles.
