Each document of each Gala entry and warm up time

At all competitions, one of our coaches will be there to give support and guidance to all of our swimmers. we also have a team manager there to help with all the entries, warm ups and call times.

What should i Bring?

We advise that swimmers bring to Galas :

Plenty of drinks

Food – see examples

2 towels

T-shirt/tracksuit bottoms/leggings/shorts

Trainers/flipflops/sliders

2 swimming hats (in case one rips)

2 pairs of goggles (in case one breaks)

Spare swimwear

Kickboard

What Foods should i eat?

Water diluted fruit juice with a pinch of salt in sports drink

Pasta Salad

Plain Sandwiches eg chicken, tuna, cheese, salad, banana, peanut butter

Bananas, grapes, apples, plums, pears

Carrots, peppers, cucumber and celery

Dried fruit e.g. raisins, apricots, mango

Smoothies

Cereal Bars

Eating lots of sugary foods will give your swimmer an initial energy boost but give it ½ an hour and they will begin to feel very lethargic.
